What a weekend for oysters and the weather couldn’t have been better, cold and a bit dreary. A great birthday with Michael, Michelle, and Billy ending with a Sunday evening oyster mini fest for myself. Mike doesn’t eat oysters so I had a couple of easy recipes that I prepared and made a dinner out of it beginning with a Bloody Mary oyster shooter and on to a plate of champagne oysters for one and then some with candied onion and mint. I cracked a bottle of Prosecco, some for the oysters and some for the champagne glass, turned on the TV to catch up on “The Morning Show” and finally settled in for the season opener of “Yellowstone”.
What a great birthday celebration over the weekend.
I imagine that I will cruise through the winter trying out new oyster dishes and of course I must have my favorite oyster dressing on the Thanksgiving menu a fine family tradition since the 70’s.
