Fabulous dinner in an hour,including a side salad…thisreccipe serves 6-8 and is pretty rich
I change the cheese mix according to what I have in the refrigerator nothing too strong of course andn a good melting cheese. I like to grate my own cheeses, preshredded seems t coated with something… “anti-caking agents like cellulose powder (from wood pulp), potato starch, cornstarch, and sometimes calcium sulfate to prevent the shreds from clumping together in the package. A natural antifungal, natamycin, is also often sprayed on to prevent mold. “
Crab Quiche
1 unbaked frozen 9 inch pie shell
3 eggs, beaten
8 ounces lump crabmeat
2 tablespoons flour
8 ounces shredded colby-monterey jack cheese (or Swiss, if you prefer)
1 teaspoon parsley flakes I prefer fresh
1⁄2 teaspoon Phillips or. Old Bay Seasoning
1⁄4 teaspoon ground dry mustard, I use jarred Dijon mustard or country Dijon
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
a squeeze of lemon juice
couple of dashes of Tobasco Sauce
1 teaspoon Worchestershire Sauce
Instructions: In large bowl, combine all ingredients except pie shell.
Fill pie shell with mixture and bake in 350 degree oven for 40-45 min until bubbly and browned on top.
